Risk Assessment

We have started now to begin the main planning stages for the product we are creating. From last year we have realised that careful planning and consideration to possible eventualities of what could happen will be very important and determine very key features of sticking to deadlines.

Weather and Lighting
We are planning to film the majority of shots in high key lighting to fit the context of the film. If the weather conditions are not ideal we will have to re-convene and plan to shoot the shots needed at another time. To eliminate the risk of shots not being completed on time due to weather, we will allow extra time in our filming schedule for re-shoots or re-timed shoots.

Camera Reliability
If our camera was to break during filming we will have a replacement or send it off to be fixed free of charge. This is due to the insurance cover that we have purchased on the camera; this would then eliminate the risk if the camera was to brake.
Actor absence through illness
If one of the actors is ill we have decided within the group that either Me or Joe will take over the role or if the female character fell ill, Poppie from the previous AS film would take over the film.

Transport
If Joseph does not pass his upcoming driving test we will have to rely on my Brother and Isaacs Dad to transport us to the necessary locations for filming.

Computer failure
If Isaac’s computer does not work, we will use the software on my computer edit the shots that we have completed.

By planning, thinking that everything that could go wrong will. We hope to eliminate any delays and reasons that we will not meet the deadline. Doing the risk assessment should also reduce the stress and help the filming process run smoother and more efficiently.

Lyrics

I got close
To your skin
While you were sleeping
I taste the
Salt on your hands
I reached out
To touch you
The morning light disarms you
Won't you let me
In?

Chorus
Ohhhhhhh
How long till your surrender?
Ohhhhhhh
How long till your
Surrender?
It's a long way
For heart break
Let your heart wait and bleed
Ohhhhhhh
How long till your surrender to me?
I've become your shadow
I'd love, but don't know
How to
I got close
To your skin
While you were sleeping
I taste the
Salt on your hands
I reached out
To touch you
The morning light disarms you
Won't you let me
In?

ChorusOhhhhhhh
How long till your surrender?
Ohhhhhhh
How long till your
Surrender?
It's a long way
For heart break
Let your heart wait and bleed
Ohhhhhhh

I'm always lost for words
You look like a thousand suns
I wanna be the only one
Left when your day is done
I can't have you close
So I become a ghost
And I watch you

I watch you
Maybe if you stay
We could die this way
But I won't stop you
I won't stop you

These are the lyrics to the song which we have chosen. We will try to adapt and create many shots that relate closely to the lyrics and follow the story. The songs lyrics stick to the common conventions of many songs as they have a repeated chorus and many of the lines rhyme. The story the lyrics portrays will be hopefully followed and visible to the audience from piece we produce.

Storyboard

The Storyboard we have created is in detail to save us time and improve our efficiency for when we are on sight filming. The storyboard is a key part of our research and planning so we thought we would take time when completing the shots. We completed the storyboard after the location scouting as we believed we could use this information when completing the drawings to a higher standard.

Codes and Conventions (CD Digipak)

As you can see all of the reverse covers of these album covers stick to many of the main conventions.

The detail and design featured on the digipak are often featured in the music video, there are often pictures or objects used throughout the digipak, website and music video.

All of the CD digipaks contain a barcode, located at the bottum right (not all are located at the bottum right)

All contain a tracklist in order in which they play on the CD

They also all have the reocord label name or logo.

The CD cover has many similarities to the websites format and design at the time of publishing, so it is easily recognizable by the consumer.

The album name and the logo of the band is usually included in the design.

Commonly a picture of the band is located at least once on the album cover. the picture is commonly very predominant for the viewer to acknowlegde easily.

All of the digipaks above have flowing designs, they have either the same colour, background or picture on the front and back. They are all clearly linked which is a convention of digipak production.

When producing our digipak we will use the above conventions and features to help us adhere to or challenge.

Roles and Actors, Costumes

We will be using Isaac for most of the acting involved in the music promo video, this will benefit us as we will not have to rely on as many people outside of our group for timing and meeting arrangement for shooting the relevant shots that we need.

We will also use a friend from work as we do not have a Woman within our media group. This may cause problems with meeting and time arrangemets, as shots will have to be arranged around her occasionally.

Isaac (the main character) will be in most scenes and to keep continuity he will be wearing the same clothing. The actors will be acting along to relevant lyrics within the song, sticking to common conventions of the majority of music videos. The roles of the actors will be to portray there once found closeness and then show how he wants her to surrender' back to him when they part.

We will try to make our Actors dress how actors in similar genre videos dress, keeping with the conventions of similar genre products.

Location list

Location lists
We have many ideas for the music video, but we will try to focus our efforts on keeping many of the shots similar in many ways. We will try to include the common conventions of the bands fashion and main colours, by choosing many locations that are colourful, very green and have the sun involved very frequently.
Location 1
Some light woods with thin coverage from the canopies of the surrounding trees. Sunlight should be present and easily visible for the audience to see. Ground area needs to be clear for easy progress of the main character and to make tracking easier when filming.
Location 2
Also lightwoods, however these woods need to be near to some open pastures, for some longer shots to show the audience the location/surroundings. A clearly different wooded area will need to be found for this scene, to show the audience the main character has moved location from the original scene.
Location 3
A large field that has a background of green trees and bushes to link the scenes. A large tree will need to be present in the scene that can support the weight of the character. The shot should contain good depth as the character will be in the foreground and the consistent green will be set back.
Location 4
For our 4th location we need a small field that is again predominantly green, this shot needs to be clear and have a break in the background that will allow in low sunlight showing the day is coming to a close.
We are using very few locations for filming as many of the similar products that I have researched have similarly low amount of locations, this will help also with re-filming as it will save time with travelling.
