Main Pitch and feedback

We have announced to the class that we have selected Neon Trees - Your Surrender as the song of choice for our media product (Promo video). As a group we are all happy with the song choice.

We also pitched the main ideas we have for the filming and content of the promo video to our peers and teacher and welcomed all criticism both positive and negative.

On the whole we was pleased with the comments of the class and feel very optimistic and excited about the production.

The class responded well in particular to the storyline that matched the lyrics of the song with many strong links and references throughout.

Our teacher Mr Devita was pleasently suprised with the level of detail and depth of research and planning had helped us to create the ideas we pitched. He commented on:

• The time frame we allowed (he thought it was to small unless the planning was in depth and a good risk assesment had been completed

• Some of the shots we suggested involved using equiptment we didnt have at the time so he thought we should have the equiptment ready before planning complex shots

• He also commented on the length of the shots we had suggested and thought we should include more scenes to keep the audience interested throughout

• The main criticism we recieved was that we planned to shoot the shots in conditions that were bright and sunny, he suggested that the weather could change and continuity could be comprimised

• On the whole he commented saying that the ideas were good and complex

We were happy with the feedback and will take into consideration what was said by our audience.
