Filming. Description and analysis of days of filming

Day 1

Today we have began to the film the relevant shots that we need. Me, Isaac and Joe met up at 12 noon at Isaacs to walk to the first location. We arrived at the woods and began eyeing up the shots which we thought we needed.

We took many shots to achieve the desired one, we took the camera back to isaacs on our break and watched them back on the screen to share our opinions. We then selected the ideal shots we planned from our shot list, then decided the shots that needed a  re-filming for that afternoon. We set off again to complete the shots we needed for that day in the present conditions (keeping good continuity).

We brought Isaacs Cannon 550D along with compatible Tri-pod and all required equiptment for the shots listed in our planning. Over the course of the evening we gathered the shots desired, in all the first day filming was a good success and we were pleased with progress. The smoothness and effiency from the planning was (in my opinion) the key reason for this.

Day 2

We met the following day to carry on filming with the positive attitude from the previous day. The in depth storyboard was a useful tool we had at our disposable helping us to not waste time and retrieve the shots we needed in the smallest time possible.

We arrived at the location earlier than expected which gave us time to have a brief meeting and talk over the days agenda. We talked about the days previous shots which we had downloaded from the camera to the computer, we watched them back and acknowledged the adjustments we needed for the days re-filming.

Our female actress Lauren was due to arrive later on in the day so we decided to prepare to make our time with her effective. She arrived on time and we had a clear shot list with the shots we needed that involved her. To keep good continuity we filmed the preceding shots with Isaac as we knew from the weather forcast it was un-predictable and could jepadise the continuity.

In comparison our previous filming experiences we found that it went extremely well with no major problems to report. We believed this was due to the high level of research and planning we carried out in our pre-production.
