Organisation and explanation of cast, props and locations

Cast

Our plan is to complete the filming of our product in the shortest time possible (1 to 2 days), we are doing this so we can use the relevant actors when they are available. If we take to long we may not be able to secure the desired cast which we would like.

Isaac a member of our group showed an interest in being an actor so we allowed him to be the male character. All the shots were filmed in areas that were secluded so no extras were needed. We thought that using one of us 'Isaac' it would be easier to re-shoot neccessary shots as he should hopefully be easier to get hold of for filming.

We are going to use Lauren  Hitchens and Isaac Warburton as our main actors, lauren Hitchens is a 17 year old female who is a colleague at work and was keen to show her acting skills in our production.

Props

We have used basic props in the construction of the promo video which were mainly home made such as the 'can phone' which was made from empty cans and some string. We used:
  • an umbrella,
  • a bed sheet,
  • flower head band,
  • Bubbles
Keeping our list of props to a minimal helped us keep the production as simple as possible to eliminate the possibility of error. We always left the props we needed at one address so we didnt lose any, if we were to lose some of the props we may have to re-shoot some of the shots that used the props to keep continuity.

Location

Many of our shots were filmed at locations in a close proximity. We did this as we did not have a guarenteed mode of transport to far a field destinations so if re-filming was needed we could travel to our locations on foot. We did however shoot a couple of shots in near Sawtry (roughly 15 miles away). To ensure we did not have to return to the location for re-filming we took  most shots a number of times and watched them back on scene to check.
